The Beer Maredsous brown 8° is a beer of type of abbey with high fermentation, developed by brewer Moortgat in Breendonk in Belgium.
This dark beer from the Abbey of Maredsous was originally only brewed for the Christmas period, but it has found its place among enthusiasts of beer. Curiously, the Maredsous is a beer that has never been produced on the premises of the benedictine abbey of Maredsous, to Denée.
Since 1963, the abbey has entrusted the production and marketing in the brewery Duvel Moortgat located in Puurs (Antwerp province), under the control of the monks, this beer, quite belgian, is not brewed in his home region in Wallonia, but in the Flemish region.
The beer is filtered before bottling, which gives it great clarity.
